Zazzle!

I recently created a Zazzle shop to sell my art reproduced on clothing, housewares, stickers, and other objects. I wanted to offer and even more affordable and functionable option for people who would like to support my art. Right now I feature mostly paintings of pets but I do have a couple Egyptian dieties and other animals. And if you don’t see something that you would like let me know! The entire process of getting the products up is a little time consuming and tedious so I am planning on adding more and more through the next few weeks or months.

Custom Paintings Holiday Deadline

If you are interested in hiring me to create a custom holiday gift the deadline is approaching. If you are contemplating getting a custom ornaglyph but can’t decide on which photos to use consider getting a grouping. They can be arranged together on a wall or spread throughout your space as little (or big) reminders all over your house. They don’t even have to be the same sizes. Hey, I’m Accommodating!

It isn’t often that I stray from my signature color palette. Recently I was commissioned to create a group of portraits for a family here in Chicago. I was asked to use an earthier scheme so I decided that it would be fun to change it up for once (and it’s always a treat to pick out new colors for my paint collection). So what I’m trying to say here is that if you like what I’m doing but want to coordinate your art with your curtains I am probably willing to accommodate you with color requests.

From gods to dogs….

This week I worked on a small series of dog paintings. I wanted to have a recent example of what my pet portraits can look like and to also have some available on hand for the upcoming holiday season. Custom options are now available!

Now here’s some exciting news…I finally put options for custom portraits in my webstore! All of the most popular sizes are available but if you want something you don’t see get in touch.

Out with the old, in with the new!

It’s time for me to start clearing out my studio (the spare bedroom in my apartment) so I have room to work on new things. I recently put up a bunch of older paintings in my shop. They are $50 a pop, 7″x7″ gouache and ink on paper. Pretty soon I’ll have a bunch of new stuff to show!!!

Works In Progress

These are 3 pet portraits that I’m working on. A Bengal cat named Lola, a Chihuahua named Titan and a Pomeranian named Bear. They are pretty much complete, I just have to give them pupils add the captions and fix a few minor mishaps (I have a tendency to smudge). For Bear the panel was too small to really add a cartoon bubble so I am going to add the writing to the background which is something I do sometimes.
